Dream

I love pictures of sleeping babies and this one of my granddaughter Isabelle is no exception.  I was looking through some of my Dear Lizzy papers and embellishments and knew that these would be perfect paired up with this photo.

I used this awesome sketch from My Scraps and More (Just rotated it on it's side):

Cole -- The Red-Nosed Reindeer

I found light up Rudolph noses this year at Michael's for $2 and sent each of the grandkids one.  Adam posted this picture of Cole wearing it last night on Facebook.  Now that I have an awesome photo printer I was able to print it off and scrap it immediately.  Wow....gotta love instant gratification!

I used Sketch #241 from Creative Scrappers:

Never Too Old.....

My son Adam took the boys for a recent visit with Santa and I love that he had his picture taken with the jolly old soul also.  I used more of my recent American Crafts prize package for this layout.  They sent me 8 sets of Thickers and I just LOVE using them for my titles.

I used this sketch from Let's Get Sketchy:

I am also entering this layout in:

Frosted Designs 12th day of Christmas (to use 12 brads)

Joy

My husband was reading a photography magazine on his present from me (a Kindle Fire) a couple of days ago and decided to fool around with some of the settings on his camera (a Christmas gift from me 2 years ago).  He took some cool shots of a few ornaments on our tree.  I love the one in the upper left corner where you can see his distorted image in the ornament.  Well then we wanted to test out my Christmas gift....an Epson photo printer and printed these prints.  They turned out beautiful!  I love my Christmas gifts....an everyday printer that I have been using to print some Project Life freebies and my photo printer.  I will never need to go to Walgreens for prints again.

I used this sketch from The Sampler Kit Club:

Merry Christmas

My son Adam posted several really great Christmas pictures on Facebook this year (this is one of them) so you know for sure I will be scrapping them. If I had some pictures of Matt, Amy and the girls I would scrap those as well.  (hint, hint)

Izzy's Christmas Card

I am blessed with 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters....what could be more perfect?  This card is for the youngest of the bunch....Isabelle Grace or as she is known to everyone....Izzy.  She is 16 months old and here is a recent picture of her............

Now tell me, isn't she one of the cutest lil' girls???  And really full of personality and lots of love for everyone.  I used the cute little elf on this card for her because she reminds me of a cute little elf!  I used this sketch from The Sampler Kit Club for inspiration:

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.

I am off this week between Christmas and New Year and enjoying myself immensely.  I am shopping, working in my scraproom, sleeping in a little later than 5:15am and enjoying an occasional nap.  Hope you are enjoying this holiday season as well.

The No Turkey Day

This past Thanksgiving we spent the day with my in-laws and it was decided by mutual consent that we would have a whole beef tenderloin instead of a turkey.  Not being a big fan of eating large birds that was fine with me.  My husband set up his camera tripod to take this photo just as we were about to eat so everyone got to be in the photo.

I used this awesome sketch from My Scraps and More Sketches:

I am also entering it in the following challenges:

Frosted Designs 11th Day of Christmas challenge to use 11 banners.  I have 5 in the upper left corner and 6 to spell out the work THANKS on the green patterned paper.

Scrap-Fit Workout #81 I am so Thankful

Merry Christmas to all!

Hope You Made the Nice List

I made nearly all of my Christmas cards and all of my gift tags this year and REALLY enjoyed making the gift tags.  Here is another one that I made.  I used Paper Smooches for the sentiment and that adorable rubber charm is just from the Doolar Tree where I got 4 of these cuties on a card for $1.

Merry Christmas to all!

Christmas 2012

Last month I won the complete collection of American Crafts Kringle and Co.  I was amazed at how much product they sent me and I am determined to use all of it up!!  I have made several Christmas cards and tags with it, but this is my first layout.  This picture is of Adam and the boys in their home enjoying their Christmas tree earlier this month.  I love that Cole is wearing his bath robe!!

I used this awesome sketch from Boys Rule:

I am also entering it over at Frosted Designs 5th Day of Christmas which was to use 5 gold (or yellow) things on a project.  I used gold glitter Thickers for the date (four number) and a gold glitter star on the top of my Christmas tree embellishment.

Christmas Cheer

I had so much fun doing the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge on a card that I decided to see how quickly I could make this tag.  It only took me 6 minutes and 3 seconds.  The snow flake embossed white card stock was actually a left over scrap from another tag and the snowman was a rubber charm.  I picked up a package of four of them at Dollar Tree last weekend when I stopped in there for gift boxes. I had never been in a Dollar Tree before and I found some decent stuff for $1.

I am entering this tag in the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge and also linking it up to Paper Issues current challenge.  They both are offering awesome prizes so you should check them out.

'Tis the Season

Cas-ual Fridays teamed up with the 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge this week and challenge us to make a clean and simple card in under ten minutes.  I gathered my supplies and cranked this card out in 7:34 (seven minutes, thirty four seconds)....not bad huh?  I used an embossed piece of blue cardstock and a die cut frame from my stash, snowflakes and rhinestones also from my stash.  The sentiment is from SRM stickers....how easy is that?

I am entering this at:
and
Frosted Designs 9th Day of Christmas Challenge
(use 9 sparkles -- I have a clear rhinestone in the center of each snowflake including the embossed ones.)

Today is the 1st day of our Christmas break and it feels great to have some time off.  I hope to relax, do some fun stuff with the hubs and get creative.

Christmas Shadow Box

I found this small little shadow box in an antique shop in downtown Deland, Florida several years ago and knew I wanted to make a Christmas themed shadow box with it.  I collected items for a couple of years and finally put it all together this year.  Many of the items I make, I give away but this little baby I am keeping for ME!

I am entering it in Craft Us Crazy's 3D Challenge.

Can you believe Christmas is only 5 days away?????????

White Elegance

Sometimes, less is more as with this card.  I just love the elegant simplicity of white on white with minimal embellishments.  I used a die cut frame over snowflake embossed white card.  I accented the snowflakes with a couple  of stamped flakes and a few rhinestones along with a tiny sentiment.  The stamps are from Stampin' Up.

I am entering this card in Cut It Up Challenges White Elegance challenge.

One week until Christmas....are you ready?

Find the Joy

I love the color scheme of this week's challenge at The Play Date Cafe and decided to play along by creating this card:

I used this sketch from Cas(e) This Sketch as well:

Amy's Gift Bag

Boy, I have been working hard on all my Christmas projects...plus I think I am battling a stomach bug.  I slept most of the day after doing some morning shopping.  It's really frustrating to not be feeling well this time of year as I have so much to do yet.  I have shipped out two of my biggest packages of gifts that had to go the farthest and I still have to ship a couple more next week.

This cute gift bag has already been shipped out to my DIL in the midwest.  I used a bunch of things from my favorite companies on this gift bag and they all work together well.  The snowflake background paper is from Echo Park, the Santa sticker from October Afternoon, The stamp from Paper Smooches and the washi tape is from My Mind's Eye.

I am entering this gift bag in two challenges:

My Craft Spot --Wrap it Up challenge

and

Go Fish -- Anything Goes challenge

Flying By to Say......

One of my favorite companies lately is Lawn Fawn....I cannot get enough of their ultra-cute and trendy stamps.  Recently they released some paper collections and I have picked up a couple of the 6x6 paper pads to use when making cards with their stamps.

I used their paper on this card and matching tag set as well as their stamp.  The stamp says "flying by to say hi" but I masked off the "hi" and used it with an SRM sticker on my card.

I am entering this card and tag set in two challenges:

and
Simon Says Stamp -- use your favorites

Frosted Designs 4th Day of Christmas

Frosted Designs 12 Days of Christmas continues to challenge me.  Here is my entry for the 4th Day of Christmas challenge....to use 4 different papers.  I used 4 different papers (front and backs) from Bo Bunny's Sweet Tooth collection for this birthday card.

Frosted Designs 6th Day of Christmas

Frosted Designs is having a cool challenge this month....the 12 days of Christmas.  And I must say as the challenge goes on it gets more and more challenging! Here is my entry for the 6th Day of Christmas challenge...to use six strips of washi tape.

Isn't that lil' elf darling?  My online friend Elizabeth made me a bunch of these cute little guys and sent them to me recently.  This card is for my 4 year old grandaughter Abby and has a quote from one of my favorited Christmas movies...Elf.  What are your top 3 Christmas movies?

Fleas Navidad

I was very busy tonight after work....my crafting tonight was fueled by a large Peppermint Mocha iced coffee from Dunkin' Donuts and I must say it kept me clippin' right along until about 9pm when I decided it was time to photograph what I had accomplished and start blogging.  This card was my favorite project I completed this evening. (I made 5 cards and 5 gift tags).

I used my Paper Smooches stamp set for the cute lil' pooch and Santa cap and I just LOVE their punny sentiment.  The papers are from Lawn Fawn.  I think I will send this to Aunt Joan and Uncle Charlie because they had a cute little dog that looked very much like the dog on my card.

I used the SPARKS sketch this week for the card and actually followed it quite closely:

Well, I think that is is for tonight...the alarm goes off very early and I can finish blogging about my projects tomorrow night.  Thanks for checking out my blog.

Snowman tag

I have always loved snowmen and I have many snowmen ornaments on my Christmas tree to prove it.  But as much as I love funky and whimsical snowmen...I hate snow. Seeing that I now live in Florida the only snowmen I have in my life are in my craft room or on my Christmas tree and that's the way I like it.

I made this cute little tag to enter in the December challenge at Trendy Twine.  The challenge is to make a tag with a snowman, glitter and Trendy Twine.  Since I do not have any Trendy Twine, the challenge said I could use hemp twine which I did.  I figure that if I keep entering the challenges over there eventually {maybe} I will win some of their awesome twine...LOL.  I especially LOVE their Candy Cane twine which you can see HERE.

From This Day On......

Shame on me.....my son and Amy got married nearly 2 years ago and I just now scrapped this picture.  They had a small little ceremony at the courthouse and I just love this picture.  I was waiting for the right sketch and supplies to come together. I love the black and white chevron flower from Precocious Paper...my favorite Etsy shop.  I bought an extra one for one of my wedding pages.  I used this sketch from Artful Delight:

This layout has now been framed and will be on it's way in a package of Christmas goodies later this week to Matt and Amy's home just outside Chicago.  I am hoping they like it and I think they will.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge #160

Color challenges are , well, challenging for me.  LOL So I ususally shy away from them.  But when I saw this challenge from The Play Date Cafe I thought to myself, I can do that.  I wanted to create a Christmas card with non-Chirstmas papers and had the perfect paper for this challenge.  Here is what I came up with:

I wish I could tell you what the paper is but it was in my box of scrap....it {might} be from Basic Grey's Picadilly collection but I am not sure.  The card stock is from Stampin' Up and I created the sentiment from my Lawn Fawn Claire's ABCs. I just love those wood veneer snowflakes.

This is the first time I entered a challenge at The Play Date Cafe and I promise it will not be the last.  Sometimes it feels good to have been challenged and met the challenge.
