Dave loves Coffee

My husband loves his coffee!  I can only imagine how many cups of coffee have been consumed out of his favorite mug....this Mickey Mouse ("I Don't do Mornings") mug that we bought in Walt Disney World a couple of years ago.  In case that mug ever gets broken I had to scrap this picture to document it and Dave's love of java.

I used this sketch from ScrapFit for my page:

Autumn leaves

Check out my GIVEAWAY post HERE.

I wanted to make a fall themed friendship card to send to an online friend who is one of the sweetest people I know.  I have a punch that makes the tiniest of oak leaves and I thought it was the perfect touch of color to this card.  I used Lawn Fawn Dewey Decimal paper, my EK Success postage stamp border punch and the sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn.

I am entering this card at The Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaves challenge.

Gabriel's card

Chek out my GIVEAWAY post HERE

I love this cute, quick little card I created for my husband's 3 year old nephew Gabriel.  I heat embossed the spooky eyes stamp from Paper Smooches, matted it on ord card stock and used a stamped image from my stash.  It probably took me less than 10 minutes to make this card and I really like it.

I am entering it in Craft Us Crazy's Challenge #29 where the challenge was to use mostly black and/or a party theme.

Boo!

I made Halloween cards for Dave's brother's children tonight.  They are such cute kids....almost as cute as my grandkids...LOL!  This is lil' Lily's card.  She just turned a year old so I did not want to do something too spooky.

I used purple, black and orange and I used my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders die to cute that cute scalloped rectangle so I am entering it over at the Cuttlebug Spot's current challenge which you can read about HERE and Cut it Up challenges which you can read about HERE.

Halloween treat bags

Tonight I made a couple of treat bags for my granddaughters.  I just filled them up with goodies and they will be going postal tomorrow morning to the Midwest.  I also bought them the cutest little Halloween flashlights by Little Tykes so I think they will like them. Abby and Izzy love to get "happy mail" from Grandma and I love sending it.  Here's a funny little treat I also added:

I am entering the gift bags in Go Fish's challenge to create a 3D Halloween project.

Best Witches

I love punny cards and will try to incorporate puns into my card making whenever possible.  So it is with this cute card I whipped up tonight for my son and his beautiful wife for Halloween.  I used the October sketch from Artful Delight:

I am also entering it over at CAS-ual Fridays over the edge challenge.

I am almost ashamed to admit what my new technique was on this card....it is using alphas to stamp a custom sentiment.  I have always admired when custom sentiments were used on cards but never thought I had the ability or the patience to line up the letters and make them look good.  Well I finally broke down and bought Claire's ABC's by Lawn Fawn because I saw a You Tube tutorial on how easy they were to use and I am now hooked!!  No more computer generated sentiments for me....I am going to add all the Lawn Fawn ABC sets to my collection .  I LOVE them and they are truly easy to use.

Happy Halloween....from your mummy

I have started making my Halloween cards and projects....I really enjoy making these every year.  There are some many great ideas out there.  This is a card I made for my son and this is the inside:

The front says "Happy Halloween" and the inside says "from your Mummy"....cute, huh?  I actually bought a whole stamp set from Close to My Heart just to get this mummy stamp!  C'mon, don't tell me that you have never done that!

I used this sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch:

I am also entering my card over at Simons Says Stamp Eerie Challenge.  I was inspired by the colors and images on this inspiration board:

I will be back tomorrow to share some more projects that I have been working on.

Grandma's Sweet Pea

My granddaughter Izzy just started walking shortly after her first birthday.  This cute picture was taken at her party and she was still hanging onto momma's long legs.  She is certainly adorable isn't she?

For this page I used Creative Scrappers sketch #228:

I am also linking it up to:

The Scrap-it-Girl challenge to use at least 12 buttons

Precious Family Moments

This is an older picture of my three grandchildren (when there were only 3...LOL) and even though the picture is only 2.5 years old I cannot believe how young my grandkids looked.  I think sometimes that they are growing up too fast and I get depressed over that.

For this page I used The Snapshot Stack and this sketch from DCWV:

I am also entering it in the "Family" challenge over at The Studio Challenges.

Lawn Fawn Fall Blog Hop and a Giveaway

Welcome to our lawnscaping blog hop!  I'm so glad you're here! You should have come to me by way of Danielle's blog.  The month's theme is all things pumpkin and beautiful changing leaves --  FALL! The hop runs from Friday, October 5th, all the way until Sunday, October 7th. Make sure to comment on all of the blogs to be eligible for some FANTASTIC prizes! All of the details can be found on the lawnscaping home page

Here is my project for the hop:
I was inspired by the fall color palette and theme of the inspiration photo.  Don't you just love fall?  The cooler temps, the crispy leaves, pumpkins and apples are among my favorite things.  And who doesn't love a hay ride or corn maze?  I used a couple of different Lawn Fawn stamps on my card -- the sentiment was created with Claire's ABC's which are soooo easy and fun to work with!  I can personalize any card now with them.  The cute Polaroid-type stamp is from Say Cheese and the papers are from the awesome 6x6 paper pad Dewey Decimal. The bow is made from Lawn Fawn hemp Lawn Trimmings.  I love how easy it is to work with and the neutral color goes with EVERYTHING.  Then I HAD to include my little Lawn Fawn Badge that I received with a recent order....don't you LOVE it? I do!!  I have a special personal giveaway as well....become a follower of my blog and leave a comment for me and on Monday October 8th I will use random.org to choose one commenter to receive a $10 Michael's gift card.  Please make sure to check back next week to see if you won.

Now, head on over to Samantha. If you've gotten off-track, don't worry! Head back to the lawnscaping blog to see the complete list of designers and prize information!

Scary Uncle Dave

Little Lily in July was at a stage where she had extreme "stanger anxiety".  Just looking at her made her nervously start looking around for her mom -- needless to say when Dave picker her up she was not happy.  I loved the picture and plan to blackmail her with this photo when she is a teenager...LOL

I used Creative Scrappers sketch #224 for this page:

I was in a 30 layouts in 30 days challenge in September and I am proud to say that this was #30.  Now I think I will take a few days break!!  Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog.
